SMFSC Year-End Banquet

This is one of the highlights of the year for our StarSkaters. We take the evening to celebrate our skaters, club successes and thank our skaters and coaches for all the hard work they put into their skating during the season. 

This evening event features a buffet dinner, and presentations of celebratory gifts for skaters who have attended 1 competition during the 2025 2026 season representing SMFSC.  Skaters who compete at qualifying competitions (listed below) will also receive an award for qualifying to attend these competitions and represent SMFSC.  We will also celebrate our skaters who have achieved Gold in any of the four disciplines (skills, free skate, dance or artistic).    

Dress code is business casual (no jeans please). Our female skaters usually wear their favorite dresses and the male skaters sport their best shirt & pants.

Doors Open: 5:30 pm
Reception: 5:45 pm
Dinner: 6:30 pm

Skaters who are 13 years of age or younger must be accompanied by an adult. 

Please Note: To attend the Banquet regardless of arrival time , a ticket must be purchased.

About the Banquet

This event is an evening to celebrate our skaters. The club also recognizes our CanSkate volunteers and noted below are the levels of competitions that skaters will be given awards for their skating accomplishments in the current season.

• Represent SMFSC at one competition throughout the 2025 2026 skating season
• Represent SMFSC at the Skate Ontario Sectional Championships
• Qualify for the Skate Ontario Provincial Championships
• Qualify for the Skate Canada National Championships
• Qualify for the Skate Ontario or Skate Canada Adult Championships
• Qualify for Special Olympic Event
• Achieve a Gold assessment for one or more of the four Disciplines: Free Skate, Dance, Skills or Artistic
• Achieve a Diamond assessment for Dance
• Special Awards are presented to skaters who achieve Triple Gold or Quadruple Gold

Be sure to bring your tickets - printed or in electronic format. You will be required to present your tickets at the banquet.
